The way it ships - after socket is mounted the rubber boot goes over the wires onto the Socket.

Then the connector terminals are pushed into the connector until they lock. The connector is then pushed together and locks with a waterproof seal.

Additional Stuff

Yes, nothing is too much for this Kit! I went back and added two 3/8" pieces of Sumitube to seal up the wire sheath to the connector!

Note also that I also added polarity markings to the connector :-)

The included piece of Sumitibe is slid over the wires before pushing the terminals home.

The left side here comes to you shrunk onto the connector and the right side is shrunk on by you after everything else is complete.

Here's what you end up with - perfection! Don't you wish your entire bike was wired like this?

I sell these wonderful Sumitomo waterproof connectors on my Waterproof Connectors Page so you can add them wherever you want on your bike. Use them for Auxiliary Lights or wherever you want a waterproof connector you can easily disconnect later.
