Shipping Information

We try to keep shipping costs as low as possible and only charge what we are charged. The default shipping method is Air Mail Small Packet. For fast shipping we recommend FEDEX or EMS. You an select the shipping method on Check Out. We ship to most countries around the globe, excluding war or conflict zones.

Affordable Shipping

Air Mail Small Packet – Non Tracking
No signature required. Two to five weeks delivery. Not insured. Affordable.
( Risk of loss if package is lost in transit )

Air Mail Small Packet – Tracked ( Limited Insurance )
Signature required. Two to five weeks delivery. Insured to US$60. Affordable
( Risk is someone is not there to sign for the package, it would be returned and then
another shipping fee required to re-ship ).

Fast Shipping

Fedex
Fast trackable and insured shipping. Signature not required, unless you ask us to require one. Generally the most reliable service. Usually delivery is within 5 working days.

EMS
Fast and Trackable. Signature required. Insured to about $150 per order. Our default carrier when Fedex is too expensive or does not ship to the area concerned. Delivery 5 to 14 days depending on location.

USA Tariff?

Shipments to the USA, include a Tariff fee, so that the customer does not have to deal with paying this fee later. This is the case for Air Mail, EMS and Fedex. When an order is placed we collect the tariff and we pay it to the shipping company. They intern pay it to the US government. When tariffs were first introduced, we had no means to collect them, so we paid them for the customers However, it quickly became clear that it was not sustainable, as the costs outweighed any profits. We hope, one day, that governments can learn to negotiate fairer trading systems so the chaos of the last few years is not repeated.

Currently tariffs vary based on product description, but most are around 10%, for the products that Eastern Beaver supplies. Some third partly assembled products have higher rates

Europe

The EU applies Duties on orders over $150 PLUS VAT on all items, irrespective of value.
VAT in Europe varies by country and is usually between 18% and 28%.
The total import duty will be the VAT payable for that country + the import duty for that country + 3 euro per line item.

Due to low volume sales to Europe, we do not collect EU Duties, nor VAT and the Importer of Record is the purchaser. Customs will issue the Purchaser with a duties invoice.

Shipping Upgrades

For orders over $300 ( excluding heavy items such as lights or rectifiers ) we will upgrade to Fedex or EMS shipping ( if not selected ). Generally this applies to orders under 1Kg that are over $300 excluding shipping. This offer might not apply for very remote addresses due to high shipping costs. If we can apply it we will.

Singature Caution

For any shipping method, if a signature is required, the item will not be delivered if the carrier cannot get a signature. This would result in the package being returned to Eastern Beaver and thus further shipping costs, for the customer. Please make sure someone is there to sign for the package, OR contact the local Post Office and ask them to hold the package for you.

For Fedex we can ship the the local depot, OR we can request no signature in which case, they will usually take a picture of the item at your address.
